The Congregation of the Lamp of Invisible Light is a fraternity open to all that practices Magick, Qabalah and Hermeticism. It expounds teachings from the Book of the Law and the spirituality of the New Aeon. Its rituals, formulas and techniques come from the obscure and distant past of humanity's great spiritual arcanum.
The purpose of the Congregation is build on following, observing and studying the occult forces of Nature. Discovery, understanding and channeling such forces is key in spiritual progress. This process is delicate and has to be executed with care to prevent an unbalanced progress that would bear negative results.
The occult forces of Nature are then understood operating both within and without at the same time, being the central teaching of the Emerald Tablet and a key part of the Congregation's core meditations.
Members of the Congregation work at their own pace and they are supported spiritually and energetically. We should make clear that the Congregation only offers an opportunity to start a path in the occult. Every person should make their own personal effort in this path, therefore becoming responsible for their own spiritual future.
The Lamp
The Congregation's main theme is the Lamp. It represents the internal light that guides us even when we cannot see it. The meditation is intended for us to follow this light. The fruit of this meditation is that our inner eye will open and the flame in our hearts will continue to brighten and illuminating our spiritual Path. This is what is understood as the Magick of Light or white magick.
In 1900, Aleister Crowley began a small Order when in Mexico City. The name was The Lamp of Invisible Light or L.I.L. These letters have in turn a very powerful meaning. They are also the Enochian name of the highest attainment in the "Vision & the Voice" and in the Enochian Visionary System.
Our Congregation commemorates this important and historical fact. Because of this, Aleister Crowley was able to attain, after years of work and study, and receive the main message for this present Aeon.
It's impossible to express how powerful this Internal Light really is, neither how much it affects the life of the magician. That's why our work pertains to the Light, in receiving it and extending it.
Thelema & the New Aeon
In 1904 the British poet, mountaineer, initiate, magician and philosopher named Aleister Crowley (Edward Alexander Crowley) began his spiritual and transformative journey after being initiated into the Secret Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in 1898. He then went through an internal process and acquired a proper understanding of the magical work, he received a transmission of spiritual nature under circumstances that were totally unexpected even for him.
This transmission was given the name "Liber AL vel Legis" (The Book of the Law). The intelligence or entity with an origin beyond the human, that dictated the book, announced his name: Aiwass. He identified as the Minister of Hoor Paar Kraat, or the Voice of Silence.
This document announced the dawn of a new spiritual era for humanity. An Aeon or period governed by Horus, replacing the archetype of Osiris, Christ or the Crucified God that has been ubiquitous for 2,000 years, and replacing it instead with the archetype of the God that is "being born at every moment" with the name of Heruraha.
This is how the concept of constant regeneration and joy replace the ideas of sacrifice, suffering and penance that are linked with the archetype of the Crucified God.

The Sanctuaries
They are groups of members of our Congregation along with the inclusion of other people interested in dedicating themselves to the experience of spiritual and participatory ritual environment. Magick, Qabalah, astrology and other occult arts are used to discover the internal forces of Nature.
The Sanctuaries exist also to support, socialize, and network with other people interested in the propagation of the Thelemic Current. This magical current operates under different names throughout the planet.
The main function of the Sanctuaries is the celebration of The Ritual of the Lamp of Invisible Light, and it is open to the general public.
We should also mention that anybody is welcome at our Sanctuaries without becoming an official member of the Congregation, because our mission is to support people in their spiritual path. You can just make an RSVP and attend to the ritual.
Each Sanctuary is operated by Three Guides. Such model is based on three alchemical principles — Salt, Sulphur and Mercury. These occult principles shape the universe.
